Author Topic: difference between nitro and petrol RC cars
Post difference between nitro and petrol RC cars
on: February 19, 2013, 21:36

ok so most of you know im a huge kid lol, iv had an electric RC truggy capable of quite a high speed for some time now but iv always wanted the bigger boys toy, a nitro or petrol RC.

now my manager has offered me his sons that he is selling for quite a good price, its a year old, hardly used and just needs a bit of TLC before i use it. he is bringing it into work today for me to have a look at and i could do with a bit of advice before i say yes or no.

he doesnt know what its called or what fuel its ment to take (his son is away with the army) so he cant ask him for a bit. all i know is its an evo (model yet to find out)

anyway what i realy want to know is

what is best? pet or nitro? from some research i have found petrol can run quite dirty compared to nitro and that nitro is faster in generl..

and i would also like to know what i should be looking for on the car to determin what it takes.

from what i have found out nitro lubricates the engine its self simila to a deisil engine soo should i expect some sort of oil cap on the engine somewere if its a petrol run RC?

thank you for any help!
